-Consulting at your residence

$30 per hour (1 hour minimum)

Seniors (65 and over) will be charged a flat rate of $24 per hour and get a 20% discount on all services. 

-Malware removal and computer optimization $85

-This service includes the following: 

-Remove unused registry entries.

-Identify and remove spyware, adware and malware.

-Virus scan and removal of known viruses.

-Delete unused temporary files.

-Configure start-up files and remove unneeded processes.

-Download and install any missing Windows updates

-Install anti-spyware software.

-Full system defrag.

-Scan hard drive for errors.

-Scan RAM for errors.

-Clean computer internals and fans.

-Check and re-seat all internal connectors.

-Check your hard drives S.M.A.R.T. data.

-Scan for rootkits.

-Optimize your internet TCIP settings.

-Free pick up and delivery of your computer (East York)

-Free loaner laptop-broadband required for internet access.

-We do all our malware removal services at our workstation due to the fact that some of the scans I run take several hours. 

-New Computer Setup

This includes the following in home services:

-Install all the cables for monitor, keyboard, mouse, modem and computer case

-Transfer all your files from your old computer to your new computer.

-Download and install all applicable Windows updates.

-Configure anti-virus software.      

-Configure anti-spyware software.

-Install and configure a modified "host file", this prevents numerous malicious websites from loading in your web browser.

-Install and configure Adobe Flash, Java and PDF software.  

-Set browser security settings.

-Set up the computer "desktop" to the clients specification. 

-Configure wireless access if available.    

-Remove all trial "buyware" software programs.

-Configuring your ISP settings if available.

-Set up and install your printer software.

-Install word processing and spreadsheet software.

-Calibrate screen colors and configure True Type fonts for maximum readability.

-I set up your PC at my workstation as it takes several hours to configure and burn recovery DVD's and then we come to your residence to set up all your peripherals...similar services from big box retailers are at least 2 to 3 times the cost of my service and I set up your computer exactly the way you want it set up and make sure you understand how everything works.   

-Home Network Installation $45

This service provides the following in home consultation:

-Install wireless router hardware and software set-up (hardware not provided).               

-Configure security settings for the router. (Prevents hackers from gaining access to your system)   

-Configure 2 computers or laptops for secure wireless internet access.

-Set up your network printer (provides access to printer wirelessly)
